We offer opinions to the Town and County Councils on
planning applications, local plans and traffic matters;
and we attend planning meetings and local
inquiries.

We offer prizes to local schools for pupils’ projects on
topics of interest in the locality - to encourage the
interest of younger people

We earn income from folk museum sales and from letting
the
Burgage Hall
- these enterprises being operated by our
volunteers

We provide knowledgeable guides to conduct visiting
groups around the historic sites of the town

We hold regular meetings and social occasions; arrange
displays and local visits; and have an annual programme
of talks and discussions.

for all our Members.
